Faith & Life Conferences
The Center for Christian Study seeks to provide opportunities and resources for individuals to investigate the truths of the Christian faith in response to the questions raised by
contemporary society first to the students, faculty and staff of University of Virginia; secondly to the Charlottesville community; and thirdly to the broader region. In order to fulfill our mission to all three of these constituent groups, periodically the Study Center hosts a nationally advertised conference on a specific topic of importance and interest to the Christian church. These conferences are usually co-sponsored with several other institutions, academic departments at U.Va., churches, ministries, and individuals. The Center for Christian Study has previously hosted two conference, Music and the Spheres: Music, Faith and Culture in America Today, April 18-21, 2002 and The Future of the Church in a Globalized World, April 1-3, 2004.
