Paul's letter to the Ephesians makes clear that his vision never quite recovered from that incident on the Damascus road: he sees everything in the light of the crucified, risen, and exalted Christ. The surprising dimensions of the temple-family of the Father, the present and future power of the indwelling Spirit, the glorious hope of the saints, and the bond of love in all the relations of life — Paul addresses all of these with an acute sense of the church's union with her glorious Lord.
