Faith & Life Special Events
The Center offers a wide range of lectures, presentations, and other events for the purpose of “facilitating wise discussion of the Truth in light of the challenges of contemporary culture.” Among the programs offered are Homo Sapiens: A Forum for Developing a Philosophy of Life, Special Lectures, Musical Performances and Conferences. Some events are co-sponsored with various academic departments of the University of Virginia, or with local church congregations and other ministries.
Prior presenters have included Frederick Buechner, Kate Campbell, Os Guinness, Alan Jacobs, Peter Kreeft, Philip Jenkins, Jeremy Begbie, Andrew Walls, Esther Meek, Wilfred McClay, Lamin Sanneh, Gilbert Meilaender, Bruce Metzger, D.G. Hart, R. Albert Mohler Jr., Francis Schaeffer, John Stott, Gregory Wolfe, and N.T. Wright, Lillian Calles Barger, Robert Wilken, Russell Hittinger, and Brooks Williams.
