 Dear Friends,
Thank you for your interest in the Center for Christian Study. The Center was founded over thirty-five years ago “to serve Jesus Christ by fostering serious consideration in the university environment of a Biblical worldview and by facilitating wise discussion of the truth in light of the challenges of contemporary culture,” to quote our vision statement.
Although we hope that this website is a useful resource for you, we always welcome personal visits to our facility on Chancellor Street. Our building, a converted home, houses not only our offices, but a library, a variety of formal and informal meeting spaces, and the Splintered Light Bookstore. Our proximity to the University of Virginia facilitates access to the community we serve, and allows us to tap into a ready supply of well-qualified speakers and instructors from among the faculty
On the administrative and financial side, the Center is non-profit and interdenominational. We are a 501(C)3 organization with a board of directors and a staff of eight. Our support comes mostly from individuals who believe in our ministry or whose lives have been touched by it directly.
