WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE STUDENTS IN TWO OF THE BEST PROFESSIONAL SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY.
The Study Center ministry extends beyond our undergraduate outreach on Chancellor Street to the Darden Graduate School of Business and the U.Va. Law School. These students on North Grounds face challenges unique to their particular professional calling; for many years now the Center has come alongside the Darden and Law Christian Fellowships to provide organizational support, personal mentoring, vocational guidance and counseling.

"We have the chance to positively impact the world daily on North Grounds as we share Christ’s love, encourage and support students at Darden and Law. The opportunity is not only to influence students' lives for the Kingdom but to influence leadership for the next generation, for these men and women are among the brightest and best our world has to offer."
--Sharon Decker, Director of Graduate Ministries
MEETING THE NEED FOR STAFF AT NORTH GROUNDS This year we have been blessed to have Study Center Board and Parents Council member, Sharon Decker, serve as the Director of Graduate Ministries. Sharon has been working on a Master of Divinity degree while also serving with The Tapestry Group ministry she founded in North Carolina. Before that, Sharon enjoyed a successful career in business, becoming the first female vice president at Duke Power followed by her tenure as president of the Doncaster division of Tanner Companies. Sharon represents the kind of graduate minister we would like to have in our graduate ministries position long-term: deep Christian committment and training with an ability to relate pastorally to the vocational challenges particular to our North Grounds ministries. Please pray with us as we seek to find a permanent Director of Graduate Ministries and as we celebrate the provision of graduate ministry staff for the 2011-2012 academic year.
Support graduate ministry at North Grounds and the Study Center staff by giving to the 2011-2012 Annual Fund. Every gift makes a difference!
