David leads a global team that finances the purchase and construction of solar power plants for Sonnedix, a solar company owned by institutional investors and advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management.  To date, he and his team have raised over $8 billion to finance solar plants around the world and help the world transition towards using more renewable energy. His work is motivated by a desire to steward creation and answer the question, “How do we power the world’s economies without devastating the world’s environment?”  One answer to that question is to provide more affordable and reliable solar energy and drive its continued improvement.

David and his wife Martha met in graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where they both received their MBAs.  They’ve been married 26 years and have two daughters, Isabella and Ava, who both currently attend UVA and have been active with the Center for Christian Study.
