searchcatalog

Use our catalog to search for books, maintain a personal library account with your own reading lists, history, and advanced searches.

Note that to check out books, you must have registered as a patron with a username and PIN, and be in the library. It will take 1-2 business days for your registration to be activated.

Searching the Catalog

To do a simple search of the Study Center Library Catalog, use the the pulldown menu to the right of the word SEARCH on the top of the front page of the catalog, and enter a book title, author, subject, ISBN, series, or call number.

Once inside the catalog, the left sidebar will show you more ways to refine your search.   When you click on a book title, you will come to the bibliographic record for that title and at the bottom of this page you will be able to browse the shelf online: that is ‘look’ at the titles which are physically shelved beside this one in our library.

To the right of the record, you will see options to print the page, save it to your lists, or add it to your cart.   Adding it to your cart is a temporary action, while you browse books, and it does not mean that you are reserving, or putting a hold on a book.

You can then add it to your lists, or delete it from the cart.

There is also the option of More Searches: if a book is unavailable in our library, you can search for it in WorldCat, Google Scholar, or Bookfinder.com and locate it in another library nearby or an online bookstore.

There are also further options for advanced searches and browsing the most popular books, at the top of the catalog page.
