For almost two millennia, Christians have followed the familiar pattern of words that their Lord taught them to pray. What did these words mean to Jesus and his disciples? Why should the people of God still address them to their Father in heaven? Bill Wilder will consider these questions and others in this two-week lecture series on the Lord's Prayer.

BILL WILDER, Executive Director at the Center for Christian Study, completed his Ph.D. in Biblical Studies at Union Theological Seminary in Virginia. He received an undergraduate degree in English and German from Guilford College and an M.Div. degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Bill is a former instructor of Biblical languages, history, and theology at the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, and is the author of Echoes of the Exodus Narrative in the Background and Context of Galatians 5:18 (Peter Lang, 2001).
