Bill was born in Lynchburg, VA a long time ago. By God’s grace, he has grown into a husband, father, grandfather, churchman, and civil engineer. Educated at Virginia Tech (BSCE ’71), he achieved Professional Engineering licensure in 1975, and enjoyed a 47-year career in engineering design, construction, and management of truly interesting and unique projects. Over the decades, he earned various graduate degrees in engineering (ME, VT, ’78), business (MBA, VCU, ’84), and theology (MATS, Covenant Seminary, ’12). He retired from full-time work in 2018. Bill and Sheila began their married life together in Richmond, VA in 1974, but have lived in Charlottesville most of the years since 1984. They have been married 45 years and have two adult children and three perfect grandchildren. He now (happily) is enjoying part-time work at CCS, tending to the building and facilities, and learning just how little he knows about how stuff really works.
