Daniel is the RUF campus minister at Jacksonville State University in northeast Alabama. He was born and raised in Troy, Alabama. He attended Troy University where he studied Spanish and met his wife, Courtney--a native of Dothan (a little further south). They married in 2009 and moved to Birmingham where Daniel earned a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School in 2014. Following this, he began serving as the assistant pastor at Grace Presbyterian Church in Fort Payne, Alabama mainly working with middle school and high school students.
In 2017, they moved down the road to Jacksonville to work with college students through RUF. Daniel and Courtney have 4 children: 7-year-old Naomi and 5-year-old twins, Rebekah and Cole, and their baby Samuel.
