Two Views on Worship

Lecture Reflection: Two Views on Worship

Attending Trinity Presbyterian Church this year alongside Chi Alpha has given me a wide range of worship experiences. I love both of these settings so much, but they can be really different. "Two Views on Worship" was an interesting way to look at some of the connections and contradictions. I loved seeing how much Isaac and Bill agreed on the importance of worship and didn’t see each other as total opposites, but rather as different expressions. Isaac gave a powerful analogy about how worship is a family coming together for a meal and sharing in that joy together. This allows us to share in our joys and griefs and also calls us out of our comfort zones to experience something from others’ points of view during worship, while ultimately guiding our hearts towards thankfulness and truth.
