We’re looking for a Director of Operations.
The Center for Christian Study seeks a mission-minded, detail-loving individual to lead and coordinate our behind-the-scenes ministry operations. If “organized” is your middle name and “logistical wizard” your unofficial title, keep reading.
Who are you?
A Bible-believing Christian with a heart for the gospel and the university
A leader who delights in supporting others and optimizing workflow
A systems thinker who can see the big picture and the nitty-gritty
Someone who considers spreadsheets thrilling and the budget season exciting
What will you do?
Steward our resources by overseeing finances, facilities, HR, and administration
Support our staff by managing operational systems that help our ministry flourish
Help us run a tight ship at 128 Chancellor Street so that students can encounter Christ in a hospitable and well-functioning space
What qualifications do you need?
A deep commitment to Jesus Christ and maturity in your faith
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Experience with financial management, HR, or operations in a nonprofit or business context
The ability to juggle multiple projects with grace and excellence
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s welcome, but not required)
What qualifications do you need?
Familiarity with QuickBooks, HR software, and general tech savviness
A passion for optimizing systems—or just a good label maker
Ability to fix the copier, calm a budget panic, and coordinate a building repair in the same afternoon
Who are we?
The Center for Christian Study is a nonprofit ministry adjacent to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. We aim to see students formed to Christ by communicating biblical truth, for the good of the University community, with hospitality and care, and in partnership with other Grounds ministries.
