We’re looking for a part-time Facilities Manager.

The Center for Christian Study seeks a motivated individual who will help keep our building a clean, safe, inviting space for students.

Who are you?

• A Bible-believing Christian with a heart for the gospel and the university, with 5-8 hours a week available

• A tinkerer who can fix a door handle or repaint a railing

• Who has an eye to see what needs doing

• And a heart to care about the little tasks that keep our house welcoming

What will you do?

• Routine building maintenance like changing light bulbs and other minor repairs

• Manage contractors for bigger repairs

• Keep things tidy, and clean what our weekly cleaners or interns don’t get to

• Basic grounds care (weeding, mulching, replanting that shrub that keeps dying)

What qualifications do you need?

• Commitment to Jesus Christ and a high level of spiritual maturity

• Organizational ability to manage tasks and prioritize what’s needed when

• Basic computer skills to track tasks on Google Sheets

• Know the difference between pliers and wrench

Who are we?

• The Center for Christian Study is a nonprofit ministry adjacent to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. We aim to see students formed to Christ by communicating biblical truth, for the good of the University community, with hospitality and care, and in partnership with other Grounds ministries.
