Pursuing Peace and Prosperity in the City

February 24, 2022

God's call to the exiles in Babylon to "seek the peace and prosperity of the city" (Jer 29:7) is highly relevant to Christ-followers today. There's increasing conversation around this, but how do congregations actually live into this mandate? Thankfully, there is wisdom from church history as well as contemporary examples of pioneering churches that shed light on what it looks like to advance flourishing in the multiple dimensions of community life.

Author Amy Sherman speaks on her new book, Agents of Flourishing: Pursuing Shalom in Every Corner of Society.

This event was held in partnership with InterVarsity at the University of Virginia.
