Prozac Culture: How Self and Suffering are Being Transformed

Tens of millions of Americans, from preschoolers on up, now take Prozac, Ritalin, or other psychoactive drugs. What is going on? This lecture series explores the revolution in drug-taking as part of a larger cultural shift that is transforming the ways we think about ourselves and experience the world. We will consider changes in both the medical realm and in the wider society.
