Addicted to Perfectionism

April 4, 2014

Many of us only feel happy when things are going our way, our task list has check marks and the feedback on our work is favorable. At the heart of perfectionism is a struggle with control, and with fear of man.

In this seminar Skip and Barbara Ryan will share a bit of their story: how a strong drive to please others put Skip onto the pathway of addiction and how Barb's "other-driven perfectionism" made her and those around her unhappy. They will speak about the antidote for perfectionism, which is to realize that Christ's perfect atonement and the gift of his righteousness by union with Him can free us to be perfectly His, and perfectly who God intends us to be.
