Lunch Club is a synthesis of two things we care deeply about here at the Study Center: Christian study and hospitality. We have loved getting to bring students and community members together over a meal and dig into questions about God, faith, and what it means to live as a Christian. In the spring semesters, we tackle “Questions You've Always Wanted to Ask About God and Faith” using questions students have brought to us the previous semester. This fall, we are doing a shorter study on “People Who Get a Bad Rap in the Bible.”
People Who Get a Bad Rap in the Bible
Meets Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. starting September 15!
Because the Bible is such a massive book with a multitude of people who appear, it’s easy to boil certain people down to the most basic object lesson. However, it’s important to understand that the people in the Bible are real. They have real problems, real contexts, and real questions. When we take the time to understand these people, we inevitably begin to attain a more beautiful gospel. Join us this semester for lunch club as we explore some of these people and try to understand why they get such a bad rap!
Students and community members are welcome.
