Fitz holds a B.A. in religion from The George Washington University and a Masters from the University of Virginia. He has studied (and likes talking about!) how early church leaders read and interpreted the Bible. Fitz manages the Programs and Ministry team at the Study Center, leads the Graduate Christian Fellowship, plans our lectures, and oversees our small groups.

Our resident expert on a wide variety of topics, Fitz loves unplanned conversations around the kitchen island and can often be found there, warming up his coffee and talking to students about Origen, sumo wrestling, or church history.

Fitz is a priest in the Anglican Church in North America, at Church of the Resurrection in Charlottesville.  He and his wife, Rachael, have five children.
