What is the Bible and Where Did It Come From?

These lectures intend to give the interested student an understanding of how the Christian should view the Bible.

First, what are we to believe about Scripture? Is it God’s Word? How should we as modern Christians understand the authority of the Bible for our beliefs and practices?

Secondly, where did the Bible come from? How was it put together? Why do different Christian groups have different books in their Bible? What is the Canon and why is it relevant today? These and other related questions will form the substance of these lectures.
