Understanding the Bible: An Introduction to the Language and Literature of Scripture

For thousands of years people around the world have received the Bible as the very Word of God, full of comfort and wisdom. At the same time much of the Bible can seem strange and alien to us, bringing more confusion than comfort, more questions than answers. S

This Understanding the Bible seminar focuses on providing an introduction to some of the main "genres" of Scripture (covenant, prophecy, lament, apocalyptic, gospel, letters) while placing them as much as possible in the larger storyline of the Bible.
