About our Speakers

Meg Jay, PhD, is a developmental clinical psychologist and Associate Professor of Human Development at the University of Virginia. She specializes in adult development, particularly the challenges and opportunities of the twenties, and maintains a private clinical practice in Charlottesville. Dr. Jay is the author of several bestselling books, including The Defining Decade. Her research and writing on young adulthood and resilience have been widely featured in outlets such as the New York Times, Harvard Business Review, NPR, and the BBC.

Warren Kinghorn, MD, ThD, is the Esther Colliflower Professor of the Practice of Pastoral and Moral Theology at Duke Divinity School and Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University Medical Center. His work explores the intersection of theology, psychiatry, and health care, with particular attention to how Christian communities care for people experiencing mental illness. Kinghorn co-directs Duke’s Theology, Medicine, and Culture Initiative and practices psychiatry at the Durham VA Medical Center.
