Foundations Week

Why not start college with a dozen new friends!? Foundations Week is a four-day program designed for incoming first-year students. Foundations Week eases students’ transitions into college life by providing Christian community at UVA hours after they’ve moved into their first dorm room.

Participants will move into UVA dorms early. When Foundations Week students arrive, a welcome lunch for students and families will be held at the Study Center. After lunch first-year students will embark from the Study Center to a retreat location to enjoy a week of exploring UVA Grounds, Charlottesville, and the Study Center alongside their peers, upperclassmen, and Study Center staff.
