What is Emmaus Fellows?

The Emmaus Fellows is a program at the Center for Christian Study designed to form students in light of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and equip them to more boldly venture out into their respective classrooms, ministries, activities, careers, and communities.

This looks like:

  • One weekly meal together.

  • Fellowship, prayer, study, service.

  • Equipping you for life and leadership.

This pilot program will begin January 2026 and end April 2026.

The Emmaus Story: Framing the Fellows Program

The aim of this program is to provide a space designated for “breaking bread” together; establishing a time and place in which we gather across ministry, church, and social circle to ask Jesus to reveal himself to us.

The Emmaus Fellows is inspired by the Luke 24 story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus, following the death and resurrection of Jesus. We find ourselves in a similar place as the disciples: afterJesus’ resurrection, and in desperate need of Jesus’ revelation in our lives. Jesus walks alongside the disciples on the road and their hearts burn as he interprets the Scriptures through his death and resurrection As they break bread together, they recognize Jesus: “Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread” (Luke 24:35).
