Who are we? Why are we here? What is God like? What is wrong with the world? What’s the deal with the Nephilim?

These questions, and so many more, are posed and answered (at least partially) in the opening 11 chapters of Genesis. Week by week, we will steep ourselves in these stories and their ancient context, so we can better grasp how they serve as the headwaters to many of the thematic streams running through the Bible: Creation, Image of God, Temple, Sin + Evil, Judgment + Mercy, and more. These are not simply stories told to an ancient people to make sense of their world. This our world. Our God. Our drama. This is our origin story.
