Presentation from Angel Parham and response from Louis Nelson
April 3, 2024 | 6:00-7:30 pm
In this dinner colloquium, Angel Adams Parham gave a paper on her current research, which examines the histories of three specific plots of land in New Orleans in order to uncover the social complexities and inequalities that are often submerged beneath the dominant narratives of American identity. Vice Provost Louis Nelson offered a response to Dr. Parham’s paper, and attendees were invited into dialogue with these experts on place and remembering.
