Bob Dylan: His Music and Message

It is fair to say that no one has influenced the modern, mass music scene more than Bob Dylan. Both the variety of his musical styles and the content of his lyrics have made significant impacts throughout American culture from the academy to the street. We look at Dylan as a person from the scrawny kid who left home at age 17 to the sage-like figure of recent times, and through an analysis of his musics and his messages seen in the context of his life as an artist, attempt to draw some conclusions about the meaning of his work for American culture today and in the future.
