Pray that students would have eyes to see their studies as part of the grand story God is telling, and that this vision would enable them to step out into a hurting world empowered by the Spirit to work for healing and redemption. (Phil 4:4-9)

Pray they would trust in God's provision amidst job and summer internship uncertainties (Matt 8:23-27)

Pray that student’s goal would not be perfection, but excellence, knowing when to work and when to rest, and working for the glory of God, and not for themselves (Col 3:17).

Gracious and Holy Father. We pray for students at UVA, that you would grant them intellect to understand you, reason to discern you, diligence to seek you, wisdom to find you, a spirit to know you, a heart to meditate upon you, ears to hear you, eyes to see you, a tongue to proclaim you, a way of life pleasing to you, patience to wait for you, and perseverance to look for you. Grant them growth in you, a perfect end, your holy presence, a blessed resurrection, and life everlasting. Amen.

Almighty God, by your gift alone we come to wisdom and true understanding: Look with favor, we pray, on our universities, colleges, and schools, especially the University of Virginia, that knowledge may be increased among us, and all good learning flourish and abound. Bless those who teach and those who learn; and grant that in humility of heart they may ever look to you, the fountain of all wisdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
