Pray that students would be rooted and grounded in God's gracious love for them, and thus remain immune to the temptations of competition and comparison. (John 15:1-17)

Pray students would daily draw nourishment and guidance from God's word, God's creation, and God's people. (Psalm 1)

That in this busy time, students would encourage and build one another up in love (1 Thess 5:11), praying for one another and serving each other as the body of Christ.

Pray for students who do not know the Lord. Pray for the gospel to transform their hearts and minds.

Heavenly Father, we pray for students, that their love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10) so that they may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11) filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. Amen. (Phil 1)

Almighty God, by your gift alone we come to wisdom and true understanding: Look with favor, we pray, on our universities, colleges, and schools, especially the University of Virginia, that knowledge may be increased among us, and all good learning flourish and abound. Bless those who teach and those who learn; and grant that in humility of heart they may ever look to you, the fountain of all wisdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
