For faculty members of the faith, pray that they would be a witness to Christ in their vocations and would honor the Lord through their teaching and research.

Pray for faculty who are weary or discouraged. Pray that the Lord would renew their passion and zeal in their work and that they would find an encouraging community of colleagues.

Pray for opportunities for Christian faculty members to build relationships with each other and encourage each other in their faith and vocation.

Almighty God, we pray for faculty at UVA. We pray for them that to knowledge and wisdom, you might add love. Bless them to pursue good learning, and to care for students in humility of heart, for the sake of Jesus Christ, your only Son our Lord. Amen.

Almighty God, by your gift alone we come to wisdom and true understanding: Look with favor, we pray, on our universities, colleges, and schools, especially the University of Virginia, that knowledge may be increased among us, and all good learning flourish and abound. Bless those who teach and those who learn; and grant that in humility of heart they may ever look to you, the fountain of all wisdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
