Rush Hospitality
January 8-11; 16-18, 2026
We are excited for an opportunity to act as a warming house for UVA’s sorority recruitment. As thousands of women come through our door we will be working to serve and love them in a variety of ways. We are able to provide a place to relax, restrooms, and snacks, and we will be introducing women to our ministry and inviting them to visit anytime in the future. As well, our female staff and community partners will be in the building and able to meet and pray with women going through the rush process.
How to Get Involved
Volunteer: Please sign up here and select the time(s) you would be able to help us extend the love of Jesus to hundreds of young women.
Bring Supplies: If you are local and can drop items off at the Study Center on January 6-7, please see this list. If you are not local, please take a look at our Amazon wishlist here.
Please consider joining us as we look forward to serving these ladies. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to our Hospitality Manager, Sage Bessert at sage@studycenter.net.
Join Us in Prayer
Week 1:
Peace and confidence for the women rushing; that they could feel "seen" even as they are usually engaging in short conversations that don't always reflect who they are.
That the women would feel the peaceful presence of the Lord while they are at the Study Center.
That staff and volunteers would be able to bring the light of Christ to the ladies who come through the Study Center.
Safety in the cold and icy weather, especially as the new recruits will need to walk to each sorority house.
Energy for all of the women to continue to engage well after long days.
To be able to turn rejection into confidence and hurt feelings into hope.
Week 2:
Discernment, kindness, and wisdom in all of the decision-making.
Strong hearts and peace for women struggling with disappointment. May God be their comforter and savior.
Sustained energy for the Study Center staff and volunteers serving. May God renew hearts, minds, and tired hands.
For time and space for Gospel-centered conversations with women visiting the Study Center. May God reveal himself in new ways and grow new friendships.
For continued health and safety throughout the weekend.
