Raised in Richmond, Virginia, Susan Williamson, came to UVA as the middle of three sisters who all made Charlottesville their home during their college years. Right after earning her B.S. from the McIntire School of Commerce in 1995, she married her high school sweetheart, Jason, in the Chapel on Grounds. Susan returned to Richmond where she worked in consulting for Coopers & Lybrand and helped start a new product line at Capital One. Just before starting their family, Susan and Jason relocated to North Carolina and spent twenty five years in the Raleigh area where Susan stayed at home to raise their children.

Susan came to faith in Christ in the spring semester of her first year while participating in Bible Study with Cru. The impact of that experience sparked a desire to see other women know, love, and be transformed by God’s Word. Throughout her years as a homemaker, Susan has either been involved in or facilitated Women’s Bible Study in her local church or has hosted women in her home to study Scripture together. In addition to serving at her local church and volunteering in her children’s schools, Susan spent countless hours restoring and renewing their family’s personal homes. What started as a passion for transforming spaces into places that look and function their best has grown into a vocation of purchasing homes to rehab and renovate for rental or resale. Susan loves all things home and hospitality, and she and Jason recently relocated to Charlottesville to live among the UVA community and minister to students by opening their home and lives to them.

Susan and Jason have four children and one daughter-in-law. Their two oldest children, Anna and Patrick, and Patrick’s wife, Victoria, all earned degrees from the University of Virginia and enjoyed many wonderful hours at The Study Center. Their two youngest children, Lily and Jack, are currently students at Liberty University. Susan and Jason attend Center Church here in Charlottesville.
