How should a church be led? Join us for a conversation with Blake Johnson (Pastor at Holy Cross Anglican) and Keith Goad (Pastor at Jefferson Park Baptist) as they share two distinct perspectives on church leadership. Together they’ll explore how their traditions understand the leadership roles in the church—and the biblical and theological convictions behind those differences.
Our speakers will answer questions like:
What is the church? Who governs it? On what basis? Why does it matter? Is scripture sufficient for church government? Is the church “pure” or a “mixed body”? Who corrects an erring pastor? How does governance reveal itself on a Sunday morning?
What is Two Views?
The Two Views series introduces differing viewpoints on doctrinal issues that affect Christian practice. Each speaker gives a brief presentation of their perspective and the two are brought into dialogue through audience questions.
