Born and raised in Washington, DC, Vivian moved south to Greenville, SC to attend Furman University, where she studied Conservation Biology and Religion. At Furman, she helped lead the Mere Christianity Forum (Furman’s Christian Study Center), which grew her appreciation for the Study Center movement's unique mission and history. Now after graduating, Vivian is excited to serve at one of the country's oldest study centers and benefit from the abundant access to great minds and great books. In her free time, she enjoys anything and everything outdoors (including birding, beekeeping, gardening, hiking, running, and ultimate frisbee). She also loves a good conversation and trying her hand at arts and crafts!
