A large crowd of students is gathered outside a brick house with a small balcony and several windows. Some students are sitting at tables, while others are standing in line on the sidewalk, waiting to enter. There are trees and a sign indicating no parking.

What is the Center for Christian Study?

Creating a home for faith and learning since 1975.

We’re open 24/7 at 128 Chancellor Street for all who need… a warm cup of coffee, a place to ask hard questions, a place to find a friend who feels like family, a home away from home.

We are a Christian organization, but you don’t have to be Christian to come here.

We have space for studying, but you don’t have to be studying to come here.

Internship Program

In a University context that—with good reason—encourages students to strive for greatness and lead well, the Intern Program is all about washing dishes. We are continually seeking to worship the Lord by doing the small things–taking out the trash, tidying up spreadsheets, scrubbing coffee stains off the walls–in community.

Residential Program

Composed of students from various Grounds ministries, the Residential Scholars Program exists to foster intentional community for Christian formation.

Residents celebrate together, mourn together, and work through conflict together. Above all, they belong to each other. Male participants live together at the Study Center, and female students live in the “Yellow House” next door.
